Garry Newman applied for a job at Valve at some point before Garry's Mod went on sale. Garry Newman's current project is a new sandbox game called ' S&Box', which is designed as a sequel to Garry's Mod being developed on Valve's Source 2 game engine, the same engine that Half-Life: Alyx runs on. Garry has worked on other games, such as Rust, Clatter and Chippy. He has retired entirely from playing Garry's Mod, opting instead to play Facepunch's other popular game, Rust, thus making the achievement 'Yes, I am the real Garry!' impossible to obtain.
